Credit Rating Myths | #WeNeedToTalkAboutMoney 057

There are so many myths surrounding credit ratings I thought I'd cover just a few of the main ones today One of the biggest credit rating myths is that there is one universal credit rating for you as an individual

That's not true what happens is a lender will look at your credit history and compile their own view on you as a potential customer and whether they want to lend to you and the other one is there is no blacklist of people out there who can't be lent to and similarly there isn't a past occupants blacklist so your address can't get blacklisted because of the people who lived there previously and one of the other myths that people think is if you check your credit rating which you can do for free online go and check services like Experian They think that actually impacts your credit rating it doesn't it's one of the things you should be doing at least once a year to avoid being or notice if you become a victim of fraud
