Microsoft Software Asset Management: Learn how Partners are leading the edge as Digital Disruptors

I see that you have a good representation from the UK The partners – can you tell us a little about them? Yeah, I have about six partners

Its a real nice mix of LSP partners, independent partners, partners that are part of our managed service program Which as you know, is going to be one of our flagship services that we're going to be offering out there Just to have them all here under one roof is fantastic, because we don't often get a chance for them to come together but also for them to hear from other partners as well What can be done well and perhaps where they can share their best practice ideas That's great, that's great

For us, investing in our partnership with Microsoft around our SAM Practice was an easy decision to make So, in terms of the benefits we've seen, we work together on the strategy, we share notes on where we think the market is going, and what the customers challenges are And when we build solutions, we build them together and we test them together, to make sure they really deliver our customers' needs What I love about being a Microsoft partner is that I feel heard We have advisory counsils, like the SAM PAC that I'm in

When you've got data, data points, areas, and challenges that are perhaps not working in your market, that you have a voice and can take them up P2P has really helped QS solutions to work with partners throughout the world in spaces that we have not been active in, enabling us to have a more global reach for our services and the products we are developing P2P is valuable for every party involved It's valuable for the SAM partner because it offers new perspectives It's valuable for a tool provider, for example a security tool provider, and for a customer because they get a best-of-breed experience and a best-of-breed approach with state-of-the-art technology

At Quexcel, we work a lot with managed service providers, value added resellers, and even hosting providers So we offer SAM services for the Microsoft partners so they will be able to offer SAM services to their customers and gain a more profitable business, and help their customers with an expertise they didn't have themselves That's where P2P is really helpful for us What Microsoft brings to the table with IAM is, that there will be more standardization over that collection process, over the integration process, and will create an ecosystem where partners can add value back to the customer and we don't re-invent the wheel every five minutes, so we're very excited about the prospect of IAM What excites me about the future of Microsoft's SAM program is, that we are truly delivering transformative value to customers

They are seeing true clear opportunities that they can act on to meet their business objectives, and that's really exciting to see
